Back at the house, Daniel and Lily entered the study.
Anna stood behind them.
Claire watched from the doorway.
Daniel inserted the key.
Nothing happened.
Lily placed her hand on the desk.
The hidden system activated.
A screen appeared.
SENTINEL ARCHIVE - FINAL AUTHORIZATION.
Daniel's childhood voice played.
“State your name.”
“Daniel Walker.”
“State your blood relation.”
“Father.”
The system paused.
Then:
“State the second authorization.”
Lily answered.
“Daughter.”
The screen opened.
Thousands of files appeared.
Names.
Payments.
Judicial orders.
Medical experiments.
Political agreements.
Blackmail records.
Illegal surveillance.
Everything.
Daniel looked at Lily.
“Do we release it?”
Lily nodded.
“Everything.”
Anna stopped him.
“Wait.”
She pointed toward one file.
ANNA WALKER.
Daniel opened it.
His entire life appeared on screen.
Anna had been working undercover inside Continuity.
She had not simply been hiding.
She had been collecting evidence.
Then Daniel found one final entry.
STATUS:
AGENT COMPROMISED.
DATE:
EIGHT YEARS AGO.
He looked at Anna.
“You were captured.”
Anna nodded.
“That's why I disappeared.”
“Who captured you?”
