Marcus Reed had designed Bellhaven's final phase.
The goal wasn't to control children.
It was to create one person capable of reconstructing erased memories.
Noah.
His neurological traits made him uniquely suited.
The program wanted to use him to restore memories from thousands of people.
Not to help them.
To control them.
If Bellhaven could determine which memories people believed were real, it could influence witnesses, judges, politicians, and entire organizations.
Daniel stared at the files.
“This is bigger than Bellhaven.”
Melissa nodded.
“Much bigger.”
Then they found Marcus's final recording.
He appeared on screen.
“Daniel, if you're watching this, Jonathan has failed.”
Daniel stared.
Marcus continued.
“You think Bellhaven is an organization.”
He smiled.
“It isn't.”
“It is a method.”
A pause.
“And methods survive people.”
The recording ended.
Claire looked at Daniel.
“We need to shut down every facility.”
“No.”
