Chapter 34 - THE BOTTLE
Lily found the bottle in a box.
“Mom?”
Rachel turned.
“What's this?”
“The bottle.”
Rachel stared.
For a moment, the old fear returned.
Then she smiled.
“It's just a bottle.”
“Should we keep it?”
Rachel shook her head.
“No.”
She walked outside.
Ethan followed.
Rachel placed the bottle in the recycling bin.
Lily laughed.
“That's dramatic.”
Rachel smiled.
“Maybe.”
Then she hugged her daughter.
Some objects deserved to disappear.
