Chapter 24 - REBECCA
Rebecca finally contacted them.
She was hiding.
She agreed to meet Rachel alone.
Rachel arrived at a quiet park.
Rebecca approached slowly.
For a moment, neither woman knew what to say.
“You're Rachel.”
“Yes.”
Rebecca smiled sadly.
“I've spent my whole life wondering why everyone looked at me like I was supposed to become someone else.”
Rachel's heart broke.
“I didn't know.”
“I know.”
Rebecca handed her a flash drive.
“Marlene kept copies.”
“Where?”
“Everywhere.”
“Why give this to me?”
Rebecca looked at her.
“Because I'm tired of being somebody's replacement.”
Rachel took her hand.
“You're not.”
