Clara entered the courtroom holding Emilia’s hand.
Silas’s lawyers tried to portray her as unreliable.
Clara answered every question clearly.
She described the forged diagnosis, the threats and the years of isolation.
Then the lawyer asked why she had never escaped.
Clara looked directly at Silas.
“Because he promised to hurt my daughter if I tried.”
The courtroom became silent.
Emilia finally understood that her mother had not abandoned her.
