Chapter 41 - Julian’s Mother
Investigators found Julian’s mother in a quiet coastal home operating under a false name.
Unlike Clara, she had been allowed limited freedom but had been told her son died shortly after birth.
When Julian entered the room, she recognized his eyes.
Neither of them spoke at first.
Then she touched his face and asked his name.
“Julian,” he said.
