Chapter 29 - The Private Facility
The medical facility stood behind iron gates and pine trees.
Emilia presented a court order authorizing her to see Evelyn Marsh.
The director claimed no such patient existed.
Then Emilia noticed a silver necklace around the director’s neck.
It had belonged to her grandmother.
She called the police.
Within an hour, officers searched the building and discovered a sealed wing not shown on any floor plan.
Inside the final room sat a thin woman with familiar green eyes.
