Silas’s deadline expired at noon.

His lawyers arrived with documents authorizing them to take control of Blackthorne.

Hotel employees were ordered to leave.

Clara begged Emilia not to surrender.

But without the evidence, Emilia could not immediately prove the debt was fraudulent.

She walked into the lobby and signed the surrender document.

Silas smiled as he accepted the hotel keys.

Then Emilia made an announcement.

Blackthorne would hold one final public event that evening—a charity gala already protected by a binding contract.
