Clara survived him.
Her mother had not died, disappeared or abandoned her.
She had survived.
Emilia called the investigator who had helped expose Victor. Together, they searched the notebook’s payments.
Every month for nineteen years, Silas Voss had transferred money to a private medical facility under the name Evelyn Marsh.
The facility was three hours away.
