THE CAMERA NEVER LIES / Chapter 12 / 15

Chapter 12 - The Person Behind Everything

The evidence began connecting.

The missing money.

The surveillance.

The car.

The crash.

Victoria.

Mr. Reed.

Diane.

Tyler.

But one piece remained missing.

Who had ordered everything?

Detective Mason found a hidden account connected to the company.

The account belonged to a shell corporation.

The name on the registration was unfamiliar.

Until Emma saw the signature.

It belonged to her father.

Emma: “That's impossible.”

Officer Mason: “Unless he created it for someone else.”

Emma stared at the documents.

Then Tyler appeared.

Tyler: “I know that name.”

Emma turned.

Tyler looked pale.

Tyler: “I saw it before the crash.”

Emma: “Where?”

Tyler: “On Mom's laptop.”

Diane immediately shook her head.

Diane: “Tyler, stop.”

Tyler: “No.”

He finally broke.

Tyler: “I'm tired of lying.”

He told them he had been instructed to take Emma's car.

He admitted Diane had told him to drive.

But he insisted he never intended to hurt Emma.

Then he said something that changed everything.

Tyler: “Mom wasn't the one who gave me the final instructions.”

Emma: “Who was?”

Tyler looked toward the warehouse entrance.

Tyler: “A man.”

Officer Mason: “Who?”

Tyler: “I don't know his name.”

Emma: “What did he look like?”

Tyler swallowed.

May you like

Tyler: “He looked exactly like Dad.”

Nobody spoke.
