Chapter 14 - The House Where Sabrina Died
We traveled to the Ashcroft estate, where the original selection ceremony had taken place. The house triggered complete memories: two girls, a red door, Helena, electrodes, Daniel's rescue team, and my adoptive mother carrying one blood-covered child away.
Inside the ballroom, a human Kenneth waited with our wedding album and a pistol. He proved knowledge of our secret laundromat proposal and admitted he had first met me as part of the mission, but later resisted. Prototype Seven had replaced him for hours at a time while copied memories were restored.
Helena appeared in a younger replacement body. She revealed that at midnight she intended to synchronize Celeste and me. One identity would survive. If we refused, she would cut life support to the children beneath Site Zero.
